According to the Van Dale dictionary of the Dutch language, a vonder is a plank bridge or a wooden walkway. The name is a reference to what was once a marshy landscape where the farms were in complete harmony with the environment. The concept of the house by the water , a house in its natural surroundings, is the basis for Vonder s philosophy of design and business.

Vonder makes furniture that is technically perfect, but also timeless. If you want to create something truly extraordinary, craftsmanship alone will not do; something extra is needed – a philosophy or a concept that embraces everything you create and produce. Each project undertaken by Vonder is designed specifically to fit its surroundings.
